I am cshaner on the Sims forums. I am female and in my early 40s. I work in IT and have three pets but no children. I have a dog and two cats. I have been simming off and on for nearly 13 years in various stages and for various amounts of time. I remember back in the beginning with the original Sims game (Launched in 2000) I made a square single room house with two adult females. I wanted them to be sisters though I don’t even know if the ability to connect them as a family was available. If it was, I didn’t know about it! I remember I didn’t bother stocking the fridge, I just ordered pizza all the time. I was “Sim-dicted” managing all the various needs and objectives from the start!
I purchased Sims 2 when it was released (2004) and I believe I had every expansion and stuff pack for Sims 2 and then when Sims 3 was released in June of 2009 just 3 days prior to my birthday…well it was a match made in heaven. I played TS3 for a long time and had nearly every expansion (Loved Night Life and Supernatural!!) and pretty sure every stuff pack. I had two previous Sims Legacies. Though the furthest I got was Generation 4.
I found The Sims 4 in August of 2014 and it was nearing it’s release date of September 2014 and I was very excited. After TS4 released, I played for a while and found I didn’t like the limited world etc and the lack of pools (at the time) and toddlers. Like many of you I was not thrilled with loading to go anywhere in the neighborhood. The neighborhoods also felt very small. So I shelved my Sims 4 copy and went about my life. Now, nearly 2 years later, I’ve gotten the urge to sim again and here I am, of course, telling stories about my Sims games!
I have a great husband I have been married to for nearly 15 years. He loves building Sim houses, he doesn’t like playing as much as I do though so I always used to have him package up his great modern designs and let my Simmies live in the houses! With the changes to the building in TS4, I’ve found I can actually enjoy building for myself!
